Sigma Phi Epsilon was just recently brought back to Grounds at UVA in 2019, and we are more committed than ever to rebuild the chapter into something we can all be proud of. SigEp at UVA offers a unique experience different from other fraternities on Grounds. Because we were just brought back, we have the opportunity to shape our chapter into whichever way we like with the support of other chapters around the country along with our dedicated faculty and mentors.
SigEp is redefining fraternity on college campuses across the country. We complement a man’s education by delivering a premier student experience in one of the most formative times of his life. Through SigEp, men strengthen their character, build leadership and interpersonal skills, and learn to develop healthy, lifelong relationships that are essential to a successful and fulfilling life.
SigEp revolutionized the fraternity movement in 1991 by unveiling the Balanced Man Program (BMP), a concept of single-tiered membership and continuous development that begins the day a brother joins. SigEp believes the stereotypical fraternity experience does not fulfill the needs of today’s college male. The BMP offers an experience focused on scholarship, leadership, professional development, and life skills. Members learn to live their best lives through unique, rewarding programming tailored to fit their needs and prepare them for the journey of life ahead.
In SigEp, we strive in every way to live up to our Cardinal Principles of Virtue, Diligence, and Brotherly Love. To be the best chapter on Grounds, members of our Fraternity must be men of diverse abilities, backgrounds, and talents. On Grounds, SigEp is focused on giving back through service and leadership roles. We are passionate about finding like-minded men who believe in both a Sound Mind and Sound Body and are committed to conducting themselves as gentlemen, scholars, leaders, and athletes.
If you believe in these ideals, then we would like to meet you.
